About the Artist
Dark began painting in September, 2004. He paints in acrylic and oil and favors bright colors and the human form. He also dabbles in printmaking. Dark enjoys fulfilling the sterotype of "artist": wherever he stops is when a work is completed; he finds unconventional answers to artistic situations; he paints what he wants in the way he wants. Viewers respond to his work on an emotional level. His illustrative style is not far removed from his painting style and he has a knack for depicting the required subject in both a quirky and cryptic manner that engages the viewer, drawing them into the story.
